This is a heads up for all upcoming cruisers. The port authority does not care about you. It is the money they want. They have gone to the extreme of taking parking from employees away in order to park customers. Not only that, they are parking you in one terminal and shuttling you to another terminal and then stranding you when you return. If you run into this situation, you should voice your concerns to the Port Authority.

Double charged on my parking $163.71 X2 and the elevators were not working. I had two elderly woman in my party and this was a huge problem. I was parked on the top floor and had to hand carry all the luggage for an 8 night cruise. I called for refund and it was obviously not processed. This was six weeks ago. It's just criminal what you guys charge for uncovered parking with broken elevators.

I have been on 40 cruises and have never seen the Port Authority staff so rude. On 12/15/22, I missed the boarding of my ship by 4 minutes because there was no available parking spots at Port Authority in Cape Canaveral. I was sent to three different parking locations, two were full. The third location has spots but no shuttle to take us to Royal Caribbean. There was one employee who cursed at us because we wanted to turn into the employee parking lot as directed and she would not allow my car entry. I plan on taking this complaint to the highest level possible.

Parking - Two items for cruisers. 1) If you book back-to-back cruises, CPA will charge you twice on the day your first cruise returns and the second departs ($34 to park on Monday). 2) Expect to pay upfront for the day you arrive and the day you depart. They will charge you 4 days for a three-night cruise, or 6 days for a five-night cruise. Consider offsite parking with shuttle access for considerable savings. On a positive note, the facilities are clean and the luggage drop off is helpful.

We've been cruising out of Port Canaveral since the mid 80s and today we had the absolute worst parking experience. Payment was always collected as each car arrived, so there was no hold up when everyone disembarked. Now payment is at the end of the cruise, when EVERYONE is leaving at the same time. Prepay kiosks aren't working, and even if they were there'd still be a bottleneck to show your receipt. We sat in the port shop for an hour, came back, waited in the car for 15 minutes and still had to wait to pay. We sailed in May and paid before, no problem, easy in, easy out. Right now we're at the exit ramp, 6 cars back, 3 lanes across, packed solid. We'll get out of here eventually. PLEASE change it back!

We had motor issues and a blown hose on our 36ft boat. We were taking on water and in 10 ft seas. We were able to get into Canaveral port and tied to the public pier/boat launch. The next morning at 8am we contacted a local mobile mechanic to replace the broken hose. The mechanic arrived around 12 and began to fix our boat. At approximately 2pm the port authoritie came to our boat and told us we would have to leave. We said we're repairing our boat and we we close to sinking the prior evening. He told us we had 1 hour to leave. The mechanic was still working on our issue when the sheriff showed up and told us to leave or he was going to tow us out. We were forced off the public pier into a heavy rain with lightning not knowing if our boat was sea worthy. I can't believe this is legal or morally ethical. The Canaveral port authorities could have sank us and didn't even care. They literally placed our lives in danger for no reason.

UPDATED - After several phone calls they refunded my Lyft ride. It took some doing but they finally owned up to their mistake. Change from 1 star to 3 star

***Arrived to Terminal 1 - told to drop luggage and park at Terminal 10 - No staff had the same answer - They put me on bus to Terminal 1 where I was told I parked in the wrong place. I only parked there because Port staff told me to. Before and during the cruise I kept asking - How will I get back to my car after the cruise? NO ANSWERS... On arrival back to port a week later no shuttle available - and had to take an Uber - Parking person was rude and said supervisor was not working on a Saturday. Yeah right - employees working with no supervisor. Now I had to pay $20 for a ride because of their mistake. Pay up port--- your mistake should not cost me money.

So I just had a pickup as an Uber driver at terminal 1
I was stopped by Port Authorities stating I can't pickup without a permit
He offered me to pay him $25 cash for a 1 day permit!!!!
Thanks for taking our tip $$ now!! This is insane! Who can afford $25/day as a part-time Uber driver. I can't!!
I called and learned to pickup here, you must pay a $500 deposit and register to get a permit. I told them $500 is extreme! They suggested I put it on a credit card like most drivers do. So I guess all you Uber drivers like paying the daily interest fees on your credit card for a deposit hold, or did you just not take that into consideration?
Port Authorities make it more difficult for us drivers and for their customers.
I don't understand why the deposit has to be so high? Shouldn't a maximum of $200 suffice?
Sorry customers, if you want my services, you'll need to walk to meet me now, unless Port Authority is willing to make a change, I work hard to earn my money not give it away
